Info
More about the sort order of articles:
Balanced assigns each source a frequency
weight, reducing the priority of sources like TechCrunch or Bloomberg,
which publish often, and increasing the weight of lower-traffic,
independent blogs
Visibility is a variation on balanced
assigning articles a visibility window that pushes it up based on the
source’s frequency, with mainstream articles having shorter windows than
those from independent sources
Variety assigns independent articles a longer
visibility period by calculating an “adjusted visibility date” for each
article. This function will favor recent articles but retain those from
low-frequency sources on the list longer
Fresh sorts by the article's published date
or, failing that, the date it was discoverd, then splits the articles
into high- and low-frequency groups alternating between low-frequency
(independent) and high-frequency (commercial) sources to create a
balanced result
Published sorts by the date the article was
published according to the RSS feed. This sometimes results in articles
"sticking" at the top due to being published under a future date
Discovery sorts by the date the article was
discovered by this system. This order changes as new feeds are added or
feeds that were previously offline come back online
New sorts new to old without taking the published
or discovery dates into consideration
